Catholic Women's League (CWL)

St Gregory’s Catholic Women’s League – Sharing faith, love and joyful service

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada, the largest organization of Catholic women in the country, calls its members to grow in faith and to witness to the love of God through ministry and service. This year the Toronto Diocesan Council 1921-2024 celebrates 103 years under the patronage of Our Lady Of Good Counsel.

We at St. Gregory’s CWL are now in our 67th year sharing faith, love and joyful service. Our 90-member, strong council stands on the shoulders of women we continue to give thanks for, whose commitment and hard work inspire and shape the steps we take today.

Our National theme for 2024 – 2025 is Here I am Lord send me (Isaiah 6:8) while our Provincial theme is Go Make a Difference. Our activities and events evolve around these themes and a response to spiritual and material needs in our parish community, neighborhood, other provinces and internationally. Information about our activities and events are emailed and advertised in the Parish bulletin.

Our Council strives to increase the faith of our members through prayer, providing services to others, including the marginalized and vulnerable, and advocating for social justice. Sharing your time and talent in this ministry is not only a great way to make lasting friendships but will prove to be a rewarding experience. Our meetings are held once a month and the main fundraiser is the Annual Christmas Bazaar/Bake Sale/Silent Auction held in November.
